  Generative AI: A $1.3 trillion opportunity, a presentation by Bloomberg Intelligence [1204]
  Generative AI could be the biggest tech shift since the Internet with the potential to substantially expand the total addressable market of several key industries from hardware to software. Bloomberg Intelligence estimates that this emerging technology could add north of $1.3 trillion in additional sales in many sectors over the next decade. Hardware will likely capture the bulk of this with about $640 billion added gen-AI spending by 2032 as training and inferencing continue to be critical to running any LLM. Meanwhile, generative AI software appears poised to grow at an annual CAGR of close to 60% over the next decade adding nearly $320 billion to software spending. Our presentation will focus on the underlying factors that are driving this growth.
